"Cries from the Alley," the latest
musical work from Rick Sentence, reveals his current musical direction.
Breastfed on the likes of Zep, Stones, Floyd, Cooper, and T Rex,
once Rick Sentence got his first real taste of Clash, Pistols,
Ramones, Iggy, and Dead Boy's, he set course and never looked
back.
Rick's career as songwriter, bassist and background
vocalist with Swamp Baby produced two
recordings and a reputation for high-energy live shows. Rick also
worked on the soundtrack for the punk rock mockumentary "Hard Core Logo" when internationally
acclaimed film director Bruce MacDonald hand-picked Swamp Baby
to compose and perform the soundtrack for the movie. Swamp Baby
won Best Original Song at the 1996 Genie Awards, the highest award
for Canadian film, for the track "Who the Hell Do You Think
You Are."
In 1997 Rick joined Mark Bosa's latest project,
Lyme, which featured the voice of Jay Davis
and Matt Desousa on drums. Lyme recorded their CD, "The Colour
Of" at Metalworks Studios and at Uncle Tony's little cottage.
